The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón was a impulse buy while browsing the shelves of my favourite bookshop.A coming of age story of a boy who becomes enthralled by an obscure book found in a mysterious crypt ominously called the cemetery of forgotten books.
The book, named The Shadow of the Wind leads him on an epic journey. A quest to find the man who wrote it- the man who became his hero.
A completely fantastic read which took hold of my imagination immediately.
